Hello and welcome!

I’m Ian McPherson, and I’m running for Lebanon School Board because I believe every student deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring place to learn.

As a software engineer with experience in healthcare, biotechnology, and the gaming industry, I know firsthand how powerful education can be in preparing students for the real world. My journey began in public schools, where I was fortunate to participate in a specialized Engineering Academy — an experience that helped shape my career and my future.

Today, I want to bring those same opportunities to Lebanon students. That means expanding access to programs that prepare students for careers in fields like healthcare, technology, law, engineering, and the skilled trades — right here in our schools.

I believe in strong schools that reflect our community values: safe environments, high standards, and a focus on preparing students for life after graduation. I’ve also been deeply involved in charitable work through organizations like Extra Life, where I’ve helped support children and families through community-based fundraising and volunteer efforts.

Now, I’m ready to bring that same energy, commitment, and problem-solving mindset to the Lebanon School Board — to help ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
