Hello and welcome!

I’m Ian McPherson, and I’m running for Lebanon School Board because I believe that every student in our community deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring place to learn.

As a software engineer with experience in healthcare, biotechnology, and the gaming industry, I know firsthand how powerful education can be in preparing students for the challenges of the future. My journey began in public schools, where I was fortunate to participate in a specialized Engineering Academy that opened doors for me. Today, I want to bring those same opportunities to Lebanon students. Helping them explore careers in healthcare, technology, law, engineering, and more through innovative academy programs right here in our schools.

But education is about more than just academics. Our schools should be safe spaces where every student feels welcome, respected, and empowered. No matter their background, race, gender, or identity. As a current board member of Lebanon Pride and a longtime volunteer with Extra Life, I’ve dedicated years to building inclusive communities that support young people.

Now, I’m ready to bring that same energy, passion, and problem-solving mindset to the Lebanon School Board.
